Watch this inspiring video: Can we Auto-correct humanity

People have become obsessed with social media, they cant do without their phones, ipad, e.t.c
Every of their daily lives must always be posted on social media in order to gain recognition and favor from people. You don't need social media to approve your self-worth, just keep it simple and well balanced.
Gone are the days when we wrote letters to our loved ones or even paid them a visit. In order to see someone or talk, we have to skype or send bbm messages, am not contradicting such but it should be done at a minimal level.
Even most people air their relationship, work, their daily lives on social media. That is the main essence why some marriages or relationships fail, you don't know if the people who are seeing your stuffs are happy about it.
You don't need social media to broadcast who you are, let your work speak for itself and social media will announce you, not you announcing yourself on social media.

Where does true happiness come from?

True Happiness Starts with Knowing Joy - Dr. Diva Verdun

So, I have been doing so much reflection, you see people everyday of your life but they are not contented or satisfied with what they have or where they are.
They just want more out of this life, happiness is not proportional to you being married or getting a degree or having a child.e.t.c
True happiness comes from being contented with where you are, what you have and making the best use of every moment.
Human beings are not always satisfied, they tend to strive for more, I know that is good, there are some decisions in my life that I keep asking myself am I in the right place but I know I just have to calm down and savor the moment I am in.
Imagine someone who has dreamt of that day to get married and he/she eventually does and after some while starts to regret it and wish he/she could do more out of this life. Sometimes we tend to compare ourselves with others.

Listen to this kid sing

This kid's voice is so phenomenal and he is so amazing, I cant stop listening to the song.
He sings from the wells of his soul, so I decided to share the video with you guys.
Listen and be blessed.
These are the lyrics below:
"Rooftops"
Here I am before You, falling in love and seeking Your truth
Knowing that Your perfect grace has brought me to this place
Because of You I freely live, my life to You, oh God, I give
So I stand before You, God
I lift my voice cause You set me free

So I shout out Your name, from the rooftops I proclaim
That I am Yours, I am Yours

All the good You've done for me, I lift up my hands for all to see
You're the only one who brings me to my knees
To share this love across the earth, the beauty of Your holy worth
So I kneel before You, God
I lift my hands cause You set me free

So I shout out Your name, from the rooftops I proclaim
That I am Yours, I am Yours
All that I am, I place into Your loving hands
And I am Yours, I am Yours

Here I am, I stand, with arms wide open
To the One, the Son, the Everlasting God

No matter what you are going through, I want you to listen to this song of hope, it can only get better.
I pray this song speaks to your heart.
I have been listening to it on and on and I cant get enough of it.
Just let Jesus be the anchor of your life, hold steadfastly to Him no matter the situations of life.
This is the lyrics of the song below:

I have this hope
As an anchor for my soul
Through every storm
I will hold to You

With endless love
All my fear is swept away
In everything
I will trust in You

CHORUS
There is hope in the promise of the cross
You gave everything to save the world You love

And this hope is an anchor for my soul
Our God will stand
Unshakeable

VERSE
Unchanging One
You who was and is to come
Your promise sure
You will not let go

BRIDGE
Your Name is higher
Your Name is greater
All my hope is in You

Your word unfailing
Your promise unshaken
All my hope is in You

You guys should listen to this song.......soooo funny

A Letter to Mr Wrong

I want to thank you for waking me up. After going on so many first dates with men who were trying too hard, who weren’t spiritually grounded, who didn’t have much of a personality, you showed up with your passions, your zest for life, your keen intelligence, your manliness, and your love for God. You awakened me to the exhilaration of being with a man who is not afraid to express his opinions. You seemed to be balancing your home life (great cook, loving dad) with your work life (moving up in your company, saving and planning for your future). You weren’t afraid to express a strong manliness and desire for my womanliness. And that turned me on. You woke me up to the possibility of having found the mature life partner I have been seeking.
But your sexual desire soon took over every conversation. “Hey sexy”. “There is something about you that turns me on”. And those conversations, which soon became quite graphic, took place mostly via text. A grownup man picks up the phone. A grownup man doesn’t only focus on sex, especially as he’s getting to know me. And a grownup man wants to get to know all of me—my heart, my passions, my values, my mind. When a man focuses primarily on sex, I feel objectified. You seemed to respect my wishes to stop sexting and start exploring our whole selves.
Our first date was short and sweet. We met in the park and talked about our lives. We discussed books, our favorite foods, and our children. We connected through our minds and souls, and I liked that. And then the texts began again. At first it was fun and flirty. But then it became graphic and gross. I felt that you were seeing me as a sex object. When I let you know how I felt, you slowed down. I felt respected and heard. And you finally picked up the phone. I loved connecting voice to voice. And then we had our second date.
You drove an hour to meet me in my hometown. You held my hand throughout the evening. You told me you really liked me. We got vulnerable and shared some intimate details about our lives. We seemed to “get” each other in so many ways. We took a walk, and you pulled me into a dark corner, expressing your desire for me to come home with you. I said I couldn’t because I wanted to keep my promise to God, my vow of celibacy. You said you understood. You were cool with that.
You told me you’d call the next day. You didn’t. You texted the following day. And then you slowly began to disappear. Until poof…you were gone.
So, disappearing man, I’m glad I met you and I’m also glad you’re gone now. This was so much easier to deal with after only two dates. At first I was angry. How dare you lie and promise me you’d be honest with your feelings all along so no one gets hurt? When I asked you if everything was okay (because you seemed to be shutting down), you lied and said, “Everything’s fine. Just busy at work.” I’m really glad you lied. Because it showed me your true character.
So I want to thank you again for waking me up—to the importance of staying true to my values and to being my most authentic self in relationships. Because in the future, I will honor my timeline even more. I’ll make sure to pace myself, even when the attraction is strong. If a man pressures me to talk sexy and be sexual before I’m ready, I’ll stand up even stronger for what I believe in. The right man will respect my desire to build a friendship and will respect my promise to God. He will not disappear when I don’t go home with him, when I let him know what my spiritual standards are. The right man will see all of me, not just the sum of my body parts. He will call when he says he will. His words and actions will match. He’ll have a steel core of integrity and a passion for Christ.
So, goodbye my disappearing man. God has a way of sending you the teachers you need over and over again until you’ve learned the lesson you need to learn. I’m happy to say that I’ve graduated. I’m so ready for the right man. Your disappearing helped create the space for a grownup man, my true love partner to show up in my life. And I thank you for that.

His Blessings Has No Limit

The last 2 years of my life have been a hurricane. I moved away from home because of family complications. I had to move to a totally different environment. It was with family, but I always felt like an outsider.
The hardest part of the struggle I was going through was that the year it all went south, I had just started to pray and fast. I participated in my very first Daniel Fast and shortly after the fasting was over, all hell literally broke loose.  All the same I did not give up on God and ran straight to Him for rescue and solution. I was in a job I hated, got several interviews but none of them worked out. I was bitter, angry, felt wronged. My faith was not always at its strongest, but I fought many mental and spiritual battles with consistent prayer and supplication. After about a year of turmoil, my life began to make a change for the better. I read Christian books and blogs that encouraged me not to complain but do my best in the situation I was in. I fought my own negative mindset and did my best where I could, with the help of my Savior.
About a year after all the upheaval my life started to get back on track. I applied for a job that was never advertised and I got a call back! When I went for the supposed interview, it was not an interview but merely my future boss explaining to me what would be expected of me. I started this job, with exactly the same starting salary I had requested which was three times more than my previous job. 2013 ended on a good note, almost all my prayer request were answered, those for my own life and for my loved ones. This made me afraid for 2014; I was afraid that after all the miracles God had worked in my life during 2013, there was nothing left for 2014.

Where do you think human hair came from

Wow, this is an eye opener, Chris Rock went to India to inquire on where human hair is gotten from and how it is processed. It is so shocking that the Indian women sacrifice their hair to their gods and this hair is converted to human hair which is worn by ladies globally.
It baffles me to know that all those hair extensions come from people who sacrificed their hair.

Dont do things before you realise it is too late

So I watched this movie "Unforgivable" by Dayo Amusan, you guys should go and watch it, it is an interesting movie and there are so many lessons to learn from it.
In summary, the lady Adesewa married Damola who was a play boy back in school days but her friend warned her against it, but,she did not heed to their advice thinking her love for him would change him.
Okay, back to the movie, she suffered a lot from him, the guy maltreated her, he did not care for her and his child. He was not appreciative of his wife's gestures, she cooked for him hut he would not eat it and the trend continued like that for so long.
So, one particular day, he came home and asked for food and she said, "I always make food for you but you dont eat it", and she had a bowl of oranges with a piece of knife with her, so she threatened him with the knife but the knife fell off her hand and he started beating her. In that process his daughter ran in and she mistakenly fell on the knife and she died.
He did not even know his wife had cancer, because she had started undergoing therapy and he saw she had already cut her hair. Because of his daughter's death, he decided to amend his ways, he became more endearing towards his wife.
On a fateful day, he prepared breakfast and decided to serve his wife, when he got to the room, he found that she was already dead.
In a nutshell, dont wait till something tragic happens before you amend your ways, dont let your situation end up like this couple.
What I learnt from this movie is that dont ever think you can change someone or your love for someone will change the person, some might change but it takes time, only God can change someone.
You cant always eat your cake and have it, have a lovely weekend guys, love you all.
And one more thing go and watch that movie.

The Unsung Hero: This moved me to tears

So, I watched this video, this is an example of someone that served, in reference to my post

on SERVICE yesterday.
Watch this video and be blessed, he was not a famous person but he served in his own little way.
He is called the "unsung hero"

SERVICE

Okay, today's message was on the power of being changed through serving. The preacher said we don't have to be famous to serve others, we don't need to be rich to serve others, we don't need to have everything going for us and he cited Mark 10 vs 42-45.
This bible verse in summary said to be great you must serve, you must put aside your pride and serve others be it in your own capacity.
You don't have to be in the limelight to serve others, you can even influence others by advising them, by being a reliable and responsible person. They might not be your friend anyways serve them, your reward will show up later.
Humans can be selfish we think of only ourselves, chop alone, me , myself and I.  Oh it is all about me who cares, I don't need to give her any money, I don't need to be kind to her because I know what I went through to get there.
I don't need to share this money, it is all mine
Don't be like this woman in the picture above, you keep hoarding it and one day you see it is all gone.
That is a myopic mentality, we need to shake it off, if not, because of others I don't think we will where we would have been because they chose to serve.
He also mentioned four ways we can serve:
  1. Serve God: Without Him, you wont be alive , He is your all in all
  2. Serve your family: Oh my parents don't treat me well, serve them there are many people who would love to have those parents you are neglecting
  3. Serve the world: Your friends, boss at work, people around you, your co-workers, the community at large.
  4. Serve the church: Join a group in your own little way and contribute
Then when you serve you become great, greatness does not connote riches, fame, wealth, yes they are the side attractions but the greatest of all is the inner peace and happiness within you.
There is this satisfaction you derive when you serve others, you feel fulfilled.
Reach out to that depressed soul, that lost girl, that battered child, be a source of impact to others and good will come to you.
I hope you have been blessed, love you all and have a great week ahead of you.

What are you doing during your waiting period

I was reading the books of Job this morning and I got to know that Job was a perfect man, he was the most righteous man who eschewed evil. He was also the greatest man of his time, he had so many possessions. Just imagine Aliko Dangote or Bill Gates of our time, he had people at his beck and call, he had numerous servants, estates, livestock e.t.c.
He could get anything he wanted at the snap of his fingers because he had everything money could buy, am sure he could even buy slaves if he wanted.
He also had children who had their own apartments and went there to feast during vacation. Imagine travelling to the United States on a week's trip or going to Dubai to cruise around because the world was at your feet. He even offered burnt offerings to God or even donated to charity in case his children had sinned unknowingly or knowingly so God could forgive their trespasses.
And suddenly something tragic happened which altered the course of his life, he lost everything from the estates, livestock to his children, e.t.c.
WHY ME LORD
WHY ME LORD

He became penniless and he kept questioning himself, "why me",
God who I have wronged,
Did my business partners connived together to deceive me.
Did I not serve God well
Did I not give to the poor
Did my wife wrong God
Did my children commit sins
Was I not faithful to God enough.
So many endless questions we ask ourselves when evil befall us
And because of that, he lost hope in himself, you can imagine someone who gave hope to the hopeless now becoming hopeless himself, he did not know how to forge ahead of life, he was confused, embittered, frustrated. And in that process he started cursing the day he was born, he became depressed. Even his friends tried to console him, but they did not succeed.

Friendship

FRIENDSHIP: FRIENDS SAILING ON THE SAME SHIP NO MATTER THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE.
Friendship means to be in mutual agreement with someone. Friendship is a choice that can either make you or mar you.
An adage says ''show me your friend and I will show you who you are''
There are friends and there are friends. Friends come in variety, those who will be there for you, those who want you for what you have.e.t.c.
This story below is a good example of a true friend.
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors who have been good friends, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God.
However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island. The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man’s parcel of land remained barren. After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife
The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing. Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.
The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God’s blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, “Why are you leaving your companion on the island?”

What to do when Joy does not come in the morning

So I stumbled on this post from this site www.prayingwoman.com and i decided to share it with you guys.
After a long hard or stressful day you determine that the most appropriate solution is to retire for the night or go to sleep. “Let’s get this day over with”; after all, who doesn’t feel better after a nice long nap or a successful night’s sleep? In most cases this is true. But, what does one do when you don’t feel better after snoozing for eight hours? What does one do when he/she goes to bed upset, hurt or bothered, catches an attitude with everyone in their dreams, and STILL wakes up with no change of heart?
Secular logic may insist that one should feel better after a good night’s sleep, explained by physiological reasons. During sleep, our bodies complete all functions needed for memory consolidation and release of hormones, so that we wake up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
The medical world has everyone convinced that sleep plays a major role in our everyday lives, our health and social relationships; I concur. We can all relate to feeling groggy after the lack of sleep, or some may attest to “not being a morning person”. All of this is related to the quality and quantity of sleep we are getting each night.
Biblical logic states “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” (Psalms 30:5). As a Christian, I have declared this many times over my own problems and those whom I have helped. But what happens when morning comes, and joy is nowhere to be found? Biblical teachings tell us that God’s ways are not like our ways. His thoughts are not like our thoughts and his timing does not translate into the time guidelines of this world. Morning to God does not mean 12:01 a.m. as chronological time defines, nor does it mean daylight which is the commonly accepted definition of morning. In the Bible, morning refers to the time after physical and spiritual darkness in one’s life.Spiritual darkness can last days, weeks, even years which, in turn, means morning can be offset by a day, a week and even years. The Bible does not advise when morning comes but it does declare that when it comes, joy will be its companion. When you are in the midst of your darkness, what can you do? S.L.E.E.P, continue to sleep through the darkness and when it’s morning time, time for your blessing, time for your joy… Jesus Christ, our Lord and our Savior will awaken you. Stay blessed!

How to make puff puff

So, I made puff puff during the weekend and I  want to show you guys the recipe and the method.
It is so easy to do, you dont have to go to a catering school to learn.
Easy peasy right.

Ingredient
1 teaspoon of dry yeast
1½ teaspoon of sugar
1 cup of flour
A pinch of salt
 A cup of water
Vegetable oil
These are the quantity of  ingredients I used to make the puff puff  but you can double the amount depending on the quantity of people you want to cater for.

Method
  • Add the yeast to the cup of water and allow to dissolve by stirring
  • Add the sugar to the dissolved yeast and stir
  • Also add a pinch of salt and stir
  • Cover the mixture for some few minutes using aluminum foil or any substitute and allow to rise for some minutes
  • Then add the yeast after it has risen to the flour and stir
  • Cover the flour with aluminum foil and allow to rise for 45 minutes
  • The batter would have doubled in size and there will be no air bubbles
  • Then it is ready for frying, it must be a little thicker
The batter should look like this, so it is ready for frying.

  • Scoop some batter into the oil with your hand by pressing the batter to come out from between your thumb and index finger.
  • Put in more scoops of the batter, as much as the space in the frying pot will allow without overcrowding.
  • Once the underside of the puff puff has turned golden brown, flip the ball so that the topside will be fried as well
  • Enjoy your puff puff

You can also watch the video above on how to make it

What you need to know about Ebola Virus

News about Ebola virus infecting one person or the other has been on the increase now, so I decided to share with you facts about Ebola virus, it is so disheartening that this Ebola virus just came out of the blues and people have been dying as a result of contacting it.
How does a person contract Ebola?
"They usually acquire it from close contact with blood and body fluids, and that means someone coughs in your face, you handle a body or you look after someone and don't have ideal infection-control methods. You get the virus on your hands, you touch your nose, your mouth."
What symptoms do Ebola patients show?
"It looks like the flu: fever, headache, sore throat, muscle aches and pains. That's in the first few days. And then vomiting, diarrhea and the really serious part of the illness — that is the hemorrhage part — really doesn't occur until toward the end of the first week."
Once a patient is hemorrhaging, can he or she be saved?
"It all depends on the quality of medical care. Most Ebola outbreaks have occurred in villages, in mission hospitals where essentially they have a very poor level of health care and very poor infection control methods. The mortality rate in this outbreak ... is about 60 per cent. So you can survive. The better the care, more likely you are to survive but there's no antibiotic or anti-viral agent to treat this disease."
Why has this outbreak been so bad?
"First, there's a lot of cross-border travel. Whereas most other outbreaks have been isolated in the middle of virtually nowhere. Also, people in these countries don't trust the government. They don't believe in the infection. They hide their cases. If someone dies, they take [the body] home. And unfortunately the funeral procedures where you touch the body, and handle the body, markedly increases your risk. These cases are now more in central areas, cities rather than tiny villages. All of those reasons I think have compounded to make this a much greater outbreak."

Challenges of Ebola Prevention
Ebola prevention in Africa presents many challenges. Because the identity and location of the animal host of Ebola virus are unknown, there are few established primary Ebola prevention measures.
If cases of Ebola do appear, current social and economic conditions often favor the spread of an epidemic within healthcare facilities; therefore, healthcare providers must be able to recognize a case of Ebola should one appear. They must also have the capability to perform Ebola diagnostic tests and be ready to employ practical Ebola isolation precautions or barrier nursing techniques. These techniques include:
  • The use of infection-control measures, including complete sterilization of equipment
  • The isolation of patients with Ebola hemorrhagic fever from contact with unprotected people
  • The wearing of protective clothing, such as masks, gloves, gowns, and goggles.

Never Give Up

Have you given up on yourself, have people told you,you are incapable of doing anything. Have you gotten to the stage where all hope seems lost, then it is time to start over again.

Have you given up on your dreams and goals in life.I want to tell you, you can start afresh again, you can dream again.Do not let people determine the outcome of your life. You can become who you want to be if you put your mind on it
Here are some few examples of people who did not give up on themselves:
  • Oprah Winfrey: Most people know Oprah as one of the most iconic faces on TV as well as one of the richest and most successful women in the world. Oprah faced a hard road to get to that position, however, enduring a rough and often abusive childhood as well as numerous career setbacks including being fired from her job as a television reporter because she was "unfit for television." Inspite of the setbacks, that did not deter her from achieving her goals.
  • Winston Churchill: Churchill struggled in school and failed the sixth grade. After school he faced many years of political failures, as he was defeated in every election for public office until he finally became the Prime Minister at the ripe old age of 62.
  • Thomas Edison: In his early years, teachers told Edison he was "too stupid to learn anything." Work was no better, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive enough. Even as an inventor, Edison made 10,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Of course, all those unsuccessful attempts finally resulted in the design that worked.
  • Harrison FordIn his first film, Ford was told by the movie execs that he simply didn't have what it takes to be a star. Today, with numerous hits under his belt, iconic portrayals of characters like Han Solo and Indiana Jones, and a career that stretches decades, Ford can proudly show that he does, in fact, have what it takes.
  • Stan SmithThis tennis player was rejected from even being a lowly ball boy for a Davis Cup tennis match because event organizers felt he was too clumsy and uncoordinated. Smith went on to prove them wrong, showcasing his not-so-clumsy skills by winning Wimbledon, U. S. Open and eight Davis Cups.
Take that step of faith and dream again, do not be moved by what people say about you, their words are just stepping stones to your breakthroughs in life.If people do not talk about you, you will not know your weakness and your strength. These people who I mentioned use their weaknesses in becoming who they are today, they did not relent on themselves despite the setbacks they faced, they mustered courage to keep on trying and trying until they got their desires.Always keep in mind that it is normal to face challenges but the ultimate goal is overcoming them in the long run.Challenges are to strengthen you and not to break you.
DONT EVER EVER GIVE UP, LOVE YOU ALL.

GRACE: GOD IN THE RACE

GRACE: GOD IN THE RACE

Have you ever allowed God to be the centerpiece of your life. Is he in the race of your life or you are using all your strength, muscle, energy to make things work on your own accord.
If we keep on striving we would end up stressed out at the end of the day.
The bible says it is not of him that willeth or runneth but God that sheweth mercy, you can put all your energy in doing something but at the end of the day it seems you have overworked yourself.
Allow God to be in the race of your life, ask him to direct you on what to do per time.
We human beings tend to neglect God because we feel He is too big to hear us, the father wants to hear you, he wants a father-child relationship with you. He has been waiting patiently for that day for you to call on him.
Paul said in the bible''I am what I am by His Grace'', can you boldly testify of that or you are using your energy to make things work for you.
Let God be in the race of your life and everything will work out perfectly for you.
Love you all, have a blessed weekend.
