How to make Gravy for Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
Water
Meat drippings
Broth
Flour
Method
-Mix the flour and water a half hour before you take the meat out of the oven. Put 3 tbsp. of flour in a 1-cup measuring cup and fill with water to the 1 cup line. Stir to dissolve the flour into the water. The consistency should be paste-like. Set it aside
-Take the meat out of the oven and transfer to a platter. Cover the meat with a aluminum foil tent to keep it warm.
-You need one cup to make the gravy. If you don’t have a cup of drippings with liquid, add beef broth or chicken broth to make the cup, depending on the meat you are serving. If you don’t have broth, use water.
-Pour the drippings into a saucepan and turn the heat to medium high. Bring the dripping just to a boil.
-Stir the flour and water mix again to remix. Pour about 2 tbsp. into the drippings and stir. If the flour mix blends in immediately and the drippings continue to bubble, slowly pour in about 1/3 of the flour mix, continually stirring while adding in the flour.
-For beef gravy, the color should be dark brown, as should pork gravy. Chicken and turkey gravy should have a golden hue
-Taste test the gravy. If it is too sweet and thin, turn the temperature up slightly and add a little more of the flour mix. If it is dry tasting or bland, add a little more broth or water and a pinch of salt and continue to simmer

Am I wrong by NIco and Vinz

I saw this song and decided to share it with you guys, very lovely song:

Oooooh
Oooooh
Am I wrong for thinking out the box from where I stay?
Am I wrong for saying that I choose another way?

I ain't tryna do what everybody else doing
Just cause everybody doing what they all do
If one thing I know, I'll fall but I'll grow
I'm walking down this road of mine, this road that I call home

So am I wrong
For thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong
For trying to reach the things that I can't see?

But that's just how I feel (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh ooh)
That's just how I feel (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh ooh)
That's just how I feel
Trying to reach the things that I can't see (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh ooh)

Am I tripping for having a vision?
My prediction: I'm a be on top of the world

Walk to walk and don't look back, always do what you decide
Don't let them control your life, that's just how I feel
Fight for yours and don't let go, don't let them compare you, no
Don't worry, you're not alone, that's just how we feel

Am I wrong (am I wrong)
For thinking that we could be something for real?
(Oh yeah yeah yeah oh)
Now am I wrong (am I wrong)
For trying to reach the things that I can't see?
(Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah)

But that's just how I feel,
That's just how I feel
That's just how I feel
Trying to reach the things that I can't see

If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong
I don't wanna be right, right
If you tell me I'm wrong, wrong
I don't wanna be right
[2x]

Am I wrong
For thinking that we could be something for real?
Now am I wrong
For trying to reach the things that I can't see?

But that's just how I feel, (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh ooh)
That's just how I feel (ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh ooh)
That's just how I feel
Trying to reach the things that I can't see

So am I wrong (am I wrong)
For thinking that we could be something for real?
(Oh yeah yeah yeah oh)
Now am I wrong (am I wrong)
For trying to reach the things that I can't see?
(Oh yeah yeah yeah yeah)

But that's just how I feel,
That's just how I feel
That's just how I feel
Trying to reach the things that I can't see

How to make French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 8 thick slices of 2-day-old bread (better if slightly stale)
  • Butter (can sub vegetable oil)
  • Maple syrup
Optional
  • 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
  • 1/4 cup Triple sec
  • Fresh berries

Method

1 In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and cinnamon. Stir in the orange zest and/or Triple Sec if using. Whisk the mixture until well blended and pour into a shallow bowl, wide enough to place a slice of the bread you will be using.
2 Melt some butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Place each slice of bread into the milk egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak in some of it. Shake off the excess, and place the bread slices onto the hot skillet.
3 Fry the French toast until browned on one side, then flip and brown the other side.
4 Serve hot with butter, maple syrup, and if available, fresh berries

Something New

So sorry I have not been consistent with my blog, hope you guys are good. Just wanted to say hello to everyone, I pray this year brings about the change we have been anticipating. One of my friends asked me what happened to my blog and I thought to myself why did I abandon my blog for so long, so bear with me if I am not consistent, I will try my best.

These are some faith quotes to keep you going on:

“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.”
– Gail Devers

“You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow bigger than your faith.”
– Mary Manin Morrissey

Without faith a man can do nothing; with it all things are possible.”
– Sir William Osler

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.”
– Martin Luther King Jr.

“Faith is building on what you know is here so you can reach what you know is there.”
– Cullen Hightower

“When you develop yourself to the point where your belief in yourself is so strong that you know you can accomplish anything you put your mind to, your future will be unlimited.”
– Brian Tracy

Watch this inspiring video: Can we Auto-correct humanity

People have become obsessed with social media, they cant do without their phones, ipad, e.t.c
Every of their daily lives must always be posted on social media in order to gain recognition and favor from people. You don't need social media to approve your self-worth, just keep it simple and well balanced.
Gone are the days when we wrote letters to our loved ones or even paid them a visit. In order to see someone or talk, we have to skype or send bbm messages, am not contradicting such but it should be done at a minimal level.
Even most people air their relationship, work, their daily lives on social media. That is the main essence why some marriages or relationships fail, you don't know if the people who are seeing your stuffs are happy about it.
You don't need social media to broadcast who you are, let your work speak for itself and social media will announce you, not you announcing yourself on social media.

Where does true happiness come from?

True Happiness Starts with Knowing Joy - Dr. Diva Verdun

So, I have been doing so much reflection, you see people everyday of your life but they are not contented or satisfied with what they have or where they are.
They just want more out of this life, happiness is not proportional to you being married or getting a degree or having a child.e.t.c
True happiness comes from being contented with where you are, what you have and making the best use of every moment.
Human beings are not always satisfied, they tend to strive for more, I know that is good, there are some decisions in my life that I keep asking myself am I in the right place but I know I just have to calm down and savor the moment I am in.
Imagine someone who has dreamt of that day to get married and he/she eventually does and after some while starts to regret it and wish he/she could do more out of this life. Sometimes we tend to compare ourselves with others.
